Moments With My Father Poem by abhipsa panda

Moments With My Father

I still remember those days;
the happiness of which nothing can replace.

My first sit on your lap;
your support for me in every step.

That day also, you felt a beautiful aroma;
when instead of Papa I uttered my first word "MAA".

When I was crawling on the floor;
getting your scooter sound, my move was towards the door.

My falling and standing during my first stand;
your fingers gave the support to my tiny hand.

When I was crying aloud not to go school;
you raised the duration of my play schedule.

When the Miss used to beat me being so naughty;
pampering of yours was my only therapy.

Scared about the result, when it was an anxiety;
you were being there to calm down Mom's intensity.

College was another field when I chose your line;
taking Commerce under your guidance went fit and fine.

When I started writing on every ground;
you were there to defend and feel proud.

You overwhelmed with my first job;
as I opted the teaching profession, the learning hub.

Now, as the days are running with a new chart;
it's difficult to stay from you in a distant start.

Though my responsibilities are in new motion;
for you, I will always have the highest emotion.
