Momma, How Do You Pray? Poem by Garrett Westcott

Momma, How Do You Pray?

Momma, how do you pray?
Do I need to close my eyes?
And just what am I suppose to say?
Should I wait until the sun goes down?
If I stumble and stutter
Will God be mad and frown?
Do I pray to Jesus?
Do I pray to His Dad?
Does God always love me?
Even when I've been bad
Teach me momma
I want to be good
I know there's trouble
Help me do what I should
