Monotonous Reality Poem by Aiden Florence

Monotonous Reality

Rating: 5.0

Once
You were a dream
A figure
So close to perfection
My aspiration
If I say so without any doubt

Once
I believed in you
Every day
So far from reality
Our fantasy
Existed
For as long as we were together

Something happened one night
Everything collapsed
There were no dreams
There was no fantasy
It was a moment
When we both finally realized
This is reality

No lines remain
Connecting what were once known as you and me
No fantasy exists
When I fall asleep in your dream

We're so hopeless
There's nothing we can do
To keep this world from coming to an end

It's not our duty
To take care of others
When we both can't even handle each other.
