Monster In The Making Poem by Rachel Brewer

If you read this, could you tell me what you think?
Tell me if I am a monster in the making.
With all the things I write about,
All the death and destruction.
Is there any chance, I will become my words?
I put my pen to the paper and the ideas flow out of me,
So will life imitate art?
Could I be capable of something so extreme? Like killing?
I write about people dying,
I write about myself killing,
But I wonder if I would have the strength to do it?
Or, more importantly, will I have the strength to stop myself?
So please read my work, and let me know,
