Moonlight Poem by Christal Blue

Moonlight

Rating: 4.0

Under the moonlight is where I find peace,
With nothing but grass underneath my feet.

The sky is covered in the darkness of night,
For there is not a single gleam of starlight.

The moon so full, yet so alone,
It's lost like me, with no place to call home.

I look up to the moon, shining so bright,
And soon realize, isolation feels right.

To finally be away from all the tears,
I walk a lone path with no fear.

Walking this trail that twists and bends,
The moon starts to fade and soon the night will end.

The sun will rise and the day will start,
And reality will strike and break my heart.

Under the moonlight is where I find peace,
But now the sun rises a haunting cerise.
