Crystal-clear water falls from the sky,
Sent from heavens, gentle and high.
Drops on leaves, on every flower,
A soft, refreshing, soothing shower.
Falling from above with tender love,
Pure as feathers from a white-winged dove.
These sparkling jewels from cotton clouds,
Drip and dance into the dark brown ground.
Wet and soggy, settling on turf,
Transforming dust to sticky earth.
Drip, drop, drip-drop, music in my ear,
Refreshing the air, making it clear.
Bringing life to flowers near,
Forming puddles that glisten here.
Splish-splash echoes its playful tune,
Silvered and sparkling in the light of the moon.
