Moonlit (2002) Poem by David Joel Rodriguez

Moonlit (2002)

Rating: 2.5

Trespass the closed gates,
it's gloomy with variations of light,
The wind is cold and feels great,
keep on walking the foggy night,
the whistling grass is the only sound.
Moonlit shadows appear darker then black,
I keep walking on this soggy ground,
Love and anger struck once again,
The Moonlit is smiling so I cant turn back.
Is my shadow following me?
Might be dark but I can still see.
Moonlit above me and I try to hide.
I can see a shed to save my suicide.
I go under to get away from the peril Moonlit,
Will not stop shinning,
Those eerie clouds are coming,
Moonlit shines brighter than its own meaning.
Clouds thicken and slowly cover me,
Moonlit screams with its shiny light,
No more Moonlit shadows,
I head straight for home,
I enter and peak out from the window,
Cold winds pick up,
move the clouds,
and Moonlit comes out.

Comments:
(About an obsessive ex-girlfriend I had.
Seriously, I could not hide in the crowd.
She would still be there until I came out.)
