Mornin' Memories Poem by Moth Harris

Mornin' Memories

Opened my eyes this mornin'
with a big yawn stretching my face.
Look over at your picture
and smile at the memories I will erase.

I wish I could say I miss you,
but I promised that I'd never lie,
to you and after all we've been through,
I'm so happy we've said our goodbye.

You might be wondering why
I would write this never stated reply,
Well simply it's because I,
am so happy that you are not mine.

Now like I said, I'd never lie.
I still think of you every now and then.
The thoughts in my head, I'd never try,
to get THAT back again.
