Morning Breeze Poem by david Kettler

Morning Breeze

Rating: 5.0

The overnight haze it scattered
Chased by the morning breeze
Racing along the roadway
Flirting with the trees

Leaves played keep away
The paper cup it danced
Rolling in a circle
The peaking sun it glanced

Off the tops of mountains
Purple and majestic
Spilling onto the sidewalks
Foreign and domestic

The warming whisper of wind
Blowing away the gloom
Inviting the light of day
Giving hope some room

Sleep still in my eyes
Pollen brings a sneeze
Let the day begin
Blow the morning breeze
