Morning Of The Soul Poem by Wojja Fink

Morning Of The Soul

Rating: 5.0

Shaken from a thousand lifetimes sleep
The hoary words of sages steal; a heart to keep;
And yesterdays memories
Slowly slip into the lake of dead empty dreams
Full of ripples;
Until the crack of dawn widens ever new
Tis as though the light;
Is seeking you.

In the mind a parable explodes
And memories grip no longer holds
You in their spell,
The fleshless soul staggers as though from sleep
You don’t know if it’s time to laugh or weep
And all the remnants of your earthly chains
Lie scattered; like ripples on a lake
In rains
And joy unbounded pours
Where once was emptiness
The fleshless soul is born again anew
In the beginning is the word;
And the words are with you.

Wow! a superb song of the soul. An insightful poem with imagery par excellence. Undoubtedly, the soul is the Truth, the source of light and life, and the diverse colours and fragrance witl lilting music about them overcome the monotony to make life more charming. The soul's true essence lies in the realization of unity in diversity. CP
