And so October
And so October
You lead us to this,
To examine berries
Where the fragrant blossoms
Once hung in bliss;
And the sweet robin
Visits us again,
Atop his firry tree
Singing morning songs
To clear away the rain;
The geesein their 'V' s
Circling and gathering strays,
Over these Scottish lands
Silhouetted against
The fiery autumn blaze;
Pictures painted in gold
By heavenly brush,
Swathing the landscape
In comfortable clothes
Defying the winter's rush
