Mosquitoes Poem by Paul Ojevwe Dididjon

Mosquitoes

MOSQUITOES
With your drilling machine
you came to drain my blood
as I barked at you like
an angry mad dog
you became the stubborn
fly that follows the corpse
to the grave

You are the
enemy that went round
me in search
for a means to attack
as I turned to you
with the fire of hatred
in my eyes
then you took to your heels
Again you became the
Goliath in the dark
boasting of the night as your power
you are the hen that challenge the gods
for a fight

This time I shall not spare you
I will break you like the walls of Jericho
I am the Egyptian that will inflict on you
the pains of death
and you shall die
many times and not return

a good write..a real flight of feelings..death due to mosquito bite today far exceeds those when antibiotics were unknown to humanity. a great irony.. keep writing.best of luck..
