Most People Can Tell You Poem by Francis Duggan

Most People Can Tell You

Most people can tell you a cow from moose
Or a hen from a rooster or a duck from a goose
These are things of Nature everyone should know
But the more we learn of her the more our wonder grow
Of the ways of her workings her marvels not few
And everyday from her we learn something new
But her secrets from us she keeps hidden away
And is there one person in truth who could say
That of Nature he or she does know everything
Of her flora and fauna and her life forms of water and wing?
The one we live off of that would be fair to say
And from her we do learn something new every day
Her beauty we do not have to pay to see
Yet she remains a mystery to many and a mystery to me.
