Mother Bird Poem by Amanda Häger

Mother Bird

Rating: 4.0

Dear Umbrella
Protecting from the rain
Dear Armour
Shielding from arrows
A whisper
Easing all the pain
A caress
To wipe away the sorrows

Mother Bird,
With your wings of gold
Soaring above,
Our secrets you unfold

Dear Book
Where the world appears
Dear Voice
With a tune so strong
A tender kiss
To forbid all the fears
A warm embrace:
“Nothing is wrong”

Mother Bird,
With your wings of gold
We’ll never forget
The stories you’ve told

Your place in our hearts
Beyond reason and measure
A work of art
Your love we treasure

Mother Bird,
Fly freely as we go
Though our cage’s open,
You, we’ll follow

Nicely thought and written.....Shelter and protection is what we look for in this world,
