Mother Jack-Tree's Plea Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Mother Jack-Tree's Plea

A mother with breast filled milk
Shouts out loud in pain
Hey you starving kiddies,
where are you.......?
Come on chaps, come on.......
every one, come to me

I cant hold it up longer; its heavy
My teats are bursting
Come on kids, take them away and
Let me be relieved of this load

All hungry kids, do come to me running
I am desperately needing to
Rid of this burden
Please help me!
