Mother, May I Poem by Casey Renee Kiser / snail viXen

Mother, May I

Rating: 5.0

There's so much indifference
in my heart. You
did this to me at an early age.

Mother, may I tell you
of my nightmares?
Mother, may I tell you
why I smile in graveyards?
Mother, may I tell you
of my addictions? Most of all,
to sadness.

Still,
I am too strong to wish for petty things, like
happiness and

your love.

Mother, you taught me to feel nothing.
And I shall make it

mine.

A child expresses about his or nightmares and sadness. A mother helps a child lot to remove confusing state of mind. An amazing poem is excellently penned.10
