Mother Talk Poem by Matlapa Maphologela

Mother Talk

Child hold on, hold on tight.
Tight like you do in a womb with umbilical cord, attached with mother to reach your future of being born.

On earth you will be detached and on you own in a literal form, situations will be given to you, the goal is to learn. Hold on not long your presence will be yours alone.

You will have freedom of choice, choose the matters that matter most to you and let go of the rest. You are who you choice to be, don't give them an option to choose that for you. #Poet Matlapa Maphologela
