Mothers Womb Poem by sunil kumars

Mothers Womb

Feel like returning to my mother’s womb
Safe inside the cocoon of hope and warmth
Far away from the egos and emotions of outside life
If I had known what was waiting
Would have rather flown out as spot of blood
Only thing that would stop me
Were the tears of my mother’s eyes
Feel like returning to my mother’s womb
Saw her smiling face
Amidst all that pain of birth
Thought life would be just
A celebration of joy
Although first thing the nature ever
Taught me was to cry
As my hands became large for her grasp
As I started singing my own songs of life
Far away from her selfless lullabies
I realized her initial laugh was
Just a mistake
A bait to coerce me into existence
It was just a memorabilia to be handy
For all the pain and darkness to follow
Feel like returning to my mother’s womb…….
