Motions Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Motions

Motions

Every day the earth moves, the body moves,
You are in the process of accelerations,

From the jeepneys, to the cars and the buses,
Every contraptions gets you in motions,

The heartbeats, the kisses, your legs, one pulses, one motioninto the next,
One kiss leads to another anticipation,

One encounter to the next meeting,

One song to more selections,
One poet to his next poem,

The Toyotas, to the Hondas, to an infinity of axons, wheels and cables,

Plowing the long highways, a networks of acclerations to keep you in constant motion,

The earth is in orbit,
You are speaking,

You are alive and the earth is in motion.
