Motivation Poem by David Lovell

Motivation

On Monday in the morning I sleep in
Not at all a bad way for the week to begin
On Tuesday it's back to classes once more
My hand writing quickly, for information I must store
On Wednesday I either go to work or church
For a way to do the latter I always search
On Thursday it's late in the week; I need more sleep
I want to smash my cell phone when its alarm goes beep
On Friday it's the last day of classes for the week
For that last bit of brainpower I must seek
On Saturday I run about doing visitation
And give people the gospel in conversation
On Sunday I preach, sweep, and play crowd control
Over a lot of kids, all because changed lives is my goal
But all through the week there is something day by day
That grips my heart and pushes me forward in a mighty way
To praise, to worship, to know, to love, to obey, my God the best I may
