Motor Ways Poem by winifred thorpe

Motor Ways

i think Motorways are a pain
every road looks just the same,
The only thing you get there fast,
but the journey's made to last,

Now I would rather be on a road that's for me
where i go slow and watch and see,
The trees, the meadows, and the sea,
people shopping for there tea.

You can stop at an inn and enjoy,
a meal, or take a walk down the street,
or chat with people that you meet.

yes motorways are not for me,
even thought there fast,
I enjoy the A roads,

Even thought I am last.
