Moving On Poem by Valentina Pav.

Moving On

Rating: 5.0

Stop yourself for one last time
Put away the fighting sword,
Baby, we're not out of time
This can't be our final chord.

The little things don't matter now,
We forgot them on the road,
I still remember the beginnings
Everything you said was gold.

Sit with me and have a drink
Maybe we can talk this through,
Please, don't leave me in this pain
There's nothing I won't do for you.

Now all the words are useless
You know we've reached the end,
Love to us became a stranger
There's no reason to pretend.

One last goodnight kiss was given
Then the next day she was done.
No lightless clouds around her
Finally able to see the sun.

An insightful depiction of the whimsical and temperamental nature of love, elegantly brought forth in beautiful rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing Valentina.
