Moving On Poem by Frans Adolph Steyn

Moving On

She took my heart
And then let go
But as she turned around
With one last glance she would have noticed
It never hit the ground

With a dash and a leap
And a great deal of faith
I glided through the sand
As I hit the ground the time stood still
My heart was in my hand

Now my heart is back where it belongs
It’s safely in my chest
Locked with a beautiful message
“Reserved for the very best”
