Guide my hand
I’m heading into darkness
And alone I cannot stand.

A Button is pushed and the sirens they roar
the troops are gathered, we are heading for war
like sheep to the slaughter they fall in the sand
but who pushed the button that reddened this land?

A war is coming
Can you feel it too?
Where angels will gather
To lead me and you

The nuns walk by one by one
blue black robes and we make fun
they have love despize the war
and live their lives in such a bore

Ordinary People
Strangers on the tube unite
The peace and silence for me a fright
A drunken bum a ticket won
Prays he has a home tonight
The day was bright
The mood was good
While hungry children fight for food
Autim’s coming, winter's next
Hope your warm in your little beds
a child is hurt, but he'll grow old
And then forgotten when it's cold...
So take some time to look around,
Do you see them begging on the ground?
Are you scared..? They don’t bite
But ignore them again and they might!
The bitter sweetness it is all around
In keeps my feet steady on the ground
They stand in queues for food they wait
Some survive, for others to late.
It makes us think it makes us strong
The doings of someone else’s wrong
I pray to God that I’m not next
While you curl up in your warm little beds

when it ends...wow what an amazing good poem i just love it simple straight to the point, easy to understand and i love most the first stanza special the first line cause the poet state that without loving someone the world is nothing which is very true and the last line in stanza one i love it i think FRANS you doing the good work and keep it up we really need poet like you.... in all your poem this one is the best

I have to say, all of your poems are a delight to read, so genuine and perceptive. My favourite has to be April Fool, but keep it up, I'm not set yet! Wonder if it is in the name...?
