Mr. Tomorrow Knocking On My Door Poem by Abby Sze

Mr. Tomorrow Knocking On My Door

Tomorrow is walking his way to me
He's coming soon so let me focus currently
Yet the Earth is still rotating yet the Sun still shines
Yet the rains still softly falling to kiss my forehead
Empowering and revealing who I really am

The lingering has been chewing on my pride
Lost in the drain of this nostalgia flush
Lack of this and lack of that
I looked back the memories were colourless
Transparent and swirly misty
The emptiness of chasing at nothing
Rope of attachment they are suffocating
I've got to let it go!
Because Mr. Tomorrow is knocking on my door

That's one small step for man
Little do I know I might make a giant leap
My heart is opened the volcano is erupting
My mind is at equilibrium the dragonfly landing on calm river
Now I am hearing this knock loud and clear
I walk over and warmly open the door
