Music gives/ provides me with:

strength in my weakness
hope in my despair
faith in my doubt
courage in my fear
comfort in my sorrow
patience in my waiting
love in my loneliness
contentment in my poverty
acceptance in my failure
friendship in my desolation
a path out from my wilderness
humility in my success
light in my darkness
religion as my heart's compass

and when the call comes
for me to lay down in rest
music will take me home
and I'll count myself as best blessed.
