As we write our lives beginning to end
allowing our heart to steal what's within.
Singing the words word for word
wanting to know, is that what you heard?
The melody from my heart to yours.
The beat it played when our love burst.
The lyrics that followed like a sad movie.
The tear that dropped when the Earth was soothing.
The heart that broke with the other's complete
she's everything I wish I could be.
She doesn't know that you were everything to me
the one guy that really knew me.
