My Angel Poem by Michael Loring

My Angel

Light is beaming from the skies
glowing in my face
clearing all my cries
leaving a wonderful taste

They say Angels aren't real
I don't care
I love the sensations I feel
when you fly from above
just like
a beautiful dove

Your wings flap
so large and beautiful
white and feathery
really just suitable

A dress so white
gleaming through the night

Always protecting me
with wings so bright
I'll never let down
with you in my sight

Am I worthy of you?
The thought of you and I
is sorta hard to chew

Me, a mere human boy
and you, a fluorescent Angel woman.
You could love anyone
why choose me?
Who wasn't even a good son

I say I'm a bad choice
but you shut me up
with your delicate voice
you say I'm just right
I don't believe you
but I don't put up a fight

I love you my Heroin
My Savior
My Goddess
My Princess
My Love

My Angel
