My Angel Poem by Phil Kellogg

My Angel

My love is an angel
Her hair silky smooth
As soft as her heart
For her love I'ld crawl to the moon
She is my best friend
My homie 'til the end
But I know I can't be with her
Things would just get weird
So I'm forced to watch from afar
Away from her laughter, her smile, her voice
Everything about her intrigues me
She's different from the rest
Better and worse but I'm blind to the later
She's just cool to be around
Even when nothing is being said
My dreams are filled with her, always there every night
And when I awake
I'm saddened by her not being there
She's always in my head
And never far from my thoughts
When I hear laughter, I hear her laugh
When I see smiles, I think of her's
And when I hear angels, I mistake their voices for her's
She's always been there
A shoulder to cry on
A long, warm, tender hug
A joke for the laughs
Being around her is relaxing
Uninterrupted by the outside world
Happiness is inevitable
Maybe one day I will awake, with her wrapped in my arms
I'll give her a kiss and begin my happiness again
I will love her forever
But for now I will just hope that she's happy with her life
She is usually right, even when she took my breath away
She makes me feel complete
Forever in my heart
I'll be locked in endless searches
Til the day she becomes my baby
