My Apologies Poem by Oluwaseyi Francis Adeosun

My Apologies

MY POLOGIES
Mustard seed it seemed
An iroko it turned
Promises unkept
Heart, broken.
Reputition disreputed
Image dented

Hell i foresaw
The moment it came
'ojo buruku esu gbomimu'
A feeling of self disgust
Overwhelmed the heart of man
Hoped the cup could pass me by

Heart pierced with rhetorical words
Eyes swollen like kanji dam
Legs heavy and stucked
Body shievering on a spot
Mind searching voraciously, ready to elipse
Buttocks glued to the couch

Like a criminal awaiting his verdict
So helpless and clueless
Looking despicably depressed
'the gods where are you? '
Asked me so faithlessly
Then again i asked, 'why me? '

Courage then i summoned
Further delay, more harm
Home sweet home, i thought
Solace took me in my bed
'welcome' my pillor embraced in warmth.
In my dream hope i found.

Here come me
To rewrite the wrong
Old things, far behind
Lesson learnt,
Heart crossed
All the way, my apologies i brought.
