If only you could see her eyes
this child of innocent dreams
Her tears would just melt you down
when they go on her cheeks as streams
My baby in my heart will be
more than my heart as it seems
Sit and watch life
with your beautiful eyes so clear
See the wonders of it
and what surprises could it bear
Pain and agony or joy and happiness
all yours, just knock down the fear
By days grown up you to be
and wisdom have enough no more
Believe me baby in my advice
old I became and for living, I no more
Nothing like a wise in its wisdom
and a kind heart just sat afore
Goodbyes to you I must say now
and to bed I must have set a go
The white hair of me fear not
everyone one day must get a low
And by morning time I might let my eyes open
or to heavens my soul I would set a go
