My Beautiful Church - Poem by Marilyn Lott
My church is made of Sandstone
So beautiful outside and in
I take each Sunday seriously
As I address my daily sins
For I feel the warmth of Jesus
Inside every single room
It brightens up my Sunday
Wipes away my sense of gloom
And on Monday night of worship
I deeply bow my head in prayer
As I feel His warmth around me
And I sense His constant care
My beautiful church towers
Nearly to the sky it seems
I love it when it pours down rain
Or in the brilliant sunbeams
The flowers, rocks and greenery
Are all designed by the hand of God
They hug the church I worship
For they grow on precious sod!
