For years for you there's been a place in my heart
And I always will love you 'til death do us part
For me 'twas love at first sight on the first time we met
A love that I never did live to regret
You made me feel one of the most privileged of men
With blond hair and grey eyes you were beautiful then
And though the years have stolen some of your beauty away
As I loved you then I do love you today
For me it was love at first sight such a beautiful thing
The birds chirped and whistled in the sunshine of Spring
You looked lovely and young with the wind in your hair
As we walked hand in hand in the clear mountain air
I feel happy that you are a part of my life
My beautiful darling and devoted wife.
