anent this covid thing,
as others heightened their fear
my body speaks to me, in such
a gentle and subtle way, as
this body is a close friend
of mine:

"do not fear,
i am your friend,
your body,
and i am equipped
too
with all these
developing stronger
antibodies"


the body continues:

"do not fear,
for i will always be
with you,
on our 60th year now,
have i ever
betrayed you? "


and so i just relax
feeling confident about
this body,
my friend, my companion,
the vessel of my soul,
the fortress of my mind,
the palace of this
king.
