My Broken Probosis Poem by John Randal

My Broken Probosis

I was handsome, handsome once,
until I broke
my beautiful nose.

Then all the world
had changed for me,

for I was ugly,
as ugly as can be

There were no more women
and no more dates,
even though
inside I was the same.
Only stares
and dirty looks,
Only contempt
for my broken probosis!

And so I decided
to fix that nose,

and I was handsome
just like I was.

But I didn't care
about women or dates

for i had changed

i was gay
