My Brother I Pray Poem by Randy McClave

I pray to you Lord again tonight
In hopes that my brother will see the light,
The light that God does only shine
P.lease God, give him a sign.
My brother just the other day sat and cried
When he thought his millionaire leader had died,
He then immediately called me on the phone
And all that he did was to moan.
He sounded really depressed and sappy
Asking me while he was sobbing was I happy,
Was I happy because his leader was shot in the head
As he thought for sure his leader was dead.
He cried and cried for that life lost
And how for him he said his leader had paid the cost,
How he said his leader was going to save us from sin
And how he was going to make our country great again.
My brother hates those on the street that does beg and sob
He tells them all to starve or to get a job,
And the immigrants that come into our great land
None of them can he ever stand.
He says all immigrants arrives as murderers and thief's
To kill and to steal and to bring fourth misery and griefs,
And the poor and the needy have no right to live
If with tax dollars they can't give.
If I vote for a democrat he calls me a sinner
Though I've been a republican since I was a beginner,
He says the democrats are all evil politically
But, not the republicans whose leader who he supports critically.
He says I'm not a biblical scholar rightly
But, I do read and understand the Bible nightly,
I've given my heart and my soul to the Lord God
Because, he alone is my strength and my rod.
He supports his leader who is an habitual liar
And is a rapist, a cheater, an adulterer and a conman with a prior
He never changes his way or his life
He constantly creates pain, sorrow, hate, sin and strife.
My brother worships a man who he believes is Christ
By him, he is indeed enticed,
So, God I again pray relentlessly unto you
Please help him understand what is sinful and what is true.
