My Child Comes First Poem by Randy McClave

My Child Comes First

No matter how rambunctious or wild
I'll always care for my child,
No matter what he had did or done
He will always be my son.
When he needs help I will be there
And when he needs belief I will say a prayer,
And if or when he is worried or has a problem
I swear I will help him solve ‘em.
No person will ever come before my boy
As he gives me reason and joy,
And if anyone thinks that I will put them in front of him
Strong is my families limb.
If you are my sibling or my girlfriend you would be cursed
If you believe that I wouldn't put my child first,
Even when he becomes a man an adult
Thinking that he doesn't come first, would be an insult.
My child is my own flesh and blood
As he was created because of love,
And if you think you can intentionally cause him worries and pain
I swear unto you, my fury will reign.
No matter if your child is a son or a daughter
You'd fight for them in hell or in high water,
And if your the type of parent that wouldn't
Then being with me you couldn't.
So, if you want to be part of my life
If you want to be my girlfriend or even maybe my wife,
If you have a child they should never come second
As my child comes first, and he always will I have reckoned.
