My Christmas Wreath Poem by MARY PAGDATI

My Christmas Wreath

My Christmas wreath is simple and brown,
Made of the woody things I joyfully found.
I tied little pine-cones upon the green,
And added holly berries in between.
And as I thought of each one of you,
I sprinkled cinnamon to keep thoughts anew.

A look of dismay as I hook it on my door,
No colourful baubles, no bling, no ribbons from the store.
A corsage of twigs entwined into a ring,
A reminder of the twists and turns life will often bring.
But a hope of magic creeps in on Christmas Eve,
So make a wish with love and spice it with ‘Believe'!
