My church is so many blocks high
As it reaches for God in the sky,
And it is just so many blocks wide
As it lays side to side.
My church has just so many rooms
And for them just a couple of brooms,
And enough tables for us all to sit
Where we will worship and dine and talk about it.
My church has just so many pews
Where we sit and listen about God's great news,
You can count them all on your fingers and your toes
Even on the ones upon which many have doze,
My church has only one pastor to preach
And we have a handful of parishioners to teach
And indeed my church is a wonder and a great prize
Because, my church is the right size.
