My Cousin Poem by Poetic Philosopher

You’re my life, my family, my blood
You’re the one who at any time can change my mood
You’re the one who can bring me back from the hood
For you’re the only one who ever understood
Never giving me any of that i should
Giving me hope and knowledge that i could
Always telling me that you would
Making sure i never strayed from being good
This is why i have always trusted you more
Especially when my body and mind are exhausted and sore
So let's relax while throwing a party for were the host
And while we are ill get up and make a toast
To the fact that we have grown so close
Because after my sister i acknowledge you the most
But i promise that death may come to me but not by overdose
For even if i do pass ill still protect you even as a ghost
Because by your side is my one and only post
So just remember that my presence will always be within this islands cost
For being there is what i promised and im still keeping that promise
Because a promise is connected to my heart and that’s something i can't dismiss
