My Dad Poem by Patricia Osamor

My Dad

Brought me into the world

Provided as much as he could

Life sprung a surprise he couldn't bear

Defeated by challenges beyond his power

Struggled through life tides

Uncertain waves he rides

Until he could struggle against no more

In pain he close his eyes with a tear drop

Probably regretting living us without a hope

Gently and slowly, he gave up the struggle

Life (death) won, but he won eternity

This is beautiful poem worthy of dedication to a lovely dad. I like it. May his soul rest in peace
