My Dark Side Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

The dark side of me wants to write again,
The bright side of me says ~~ “Wait! ”
Which side of me will win tonight?
I dare not hesitate.

For if I do stand back and wait,
My pen will faster go,
And this poem will be writ,
Whilst my brain in slow motion goes.

I started this poem with two thoughts,
That of dark and that of bright,
It’s amazing how my poems get writ,
Not just tonight ~~ but every night.

I’ve written down twelve lines again,
Without pausing to think it through,
It’s often how I write my poems,
Each day for me and you.
