My Darling, Oh, Unbreakable! To M. Poem by Liza Sud

My Darling, Oh, Unbreakable! To M.

Tired of breaking you,
my darling, Oh, unbreakable!
Searching for brotherhood,
whole-world, unmistakable.

But I am so calm,
as if we both were right.
And we are watching through love
at two sides of One Light.

It's you who made me calm.
My now-living teacher.
All the others are dumb
and from the sky preaching.

That's probably what still hurts -
That even now - the difference.
But when I hear your voice -
who is who - the indifference.

Isn't that a true bliss?
Isn't that a true happiness?
Diamonds in Bowl of Eucharist -
are pouring Light - in faceting.

***

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

WE ARE WATCHING THROUGH LOVE / AT TWO SIDES OF ONE LIGHT. That's a good way to discuss the truth among different believers so no one takes offense, The One Light is the transcendent which each religion claims, but the sides are the customs. beliefs, rituals, etc. that make up a particular faith. The religious scholar Frithjof Schuon (1907-1998) argued there is a TRANSCENDENTAL UNITY TO ALL RELIGIONS. He was a Christian but embraced members of all religions as his brothers and sisters in Faith. He would agree with your metaphor of One Light with many sides
