My Day-Senior Citizen's Day Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

My Day-Senior Citizen's Day

My day- Senior citizen's day
Monday,4th Oct 2021

Days simply passed
it showed the class
the face is forgotten by mass
all bitter tastes surpassed

Not me alone
many have undergone
and faced the onslaught of time
and considered it sublime

family
children and member's unity
quest for self and humanity
it demolished the concept of vanity

journey as usual
faced it as an individual
full of struggle
and came over hurdles

why look back and curse?
why suffer from remorse
one has come alone and maybe gone
the past can't be undone

pardon us all
we responded call
we may not withstand age fall
the end of life reminds us of a great wall

make us feel pride
don't decide
about our burden
you are roses of our garden
