My Dream Life Poem by Tessa Marsland Pettigrove

My Dream Life

The dreams in my life, 7/6/2009
aren't what I want them to be,
you told me one day you want me to be your wife
I love you as you can see.

I want a house,
full of memories on the walls,
I even want a little mouse
even little fireballs.

We both have career paths,
we both like the same things,
you and I both love our hot baths,
I hope you're not trying to pull any of my strings.

I want to come home to see your face,
To hold you tight,
just in case,
you're not alright.

Nothing matters more than you,
nothing ever has,
Some people have no clue,
we are just spaz.

You show me the real me,
it's you that I searched for
and it's you I can't live without,
your hope it was I long for
when nothings left in me,
and it's you.

Everything has seemed right,
Nothing has been wrong
just like those warm hugs from you at night
Man this could even be a song.

My life is ahead of me,
just as yours is you,
some things are meant to be,
I just hope things last between us two.
