My Everything Poem by Thea Pound

My Everything

Rating: 3.5

I was ready to tear the stars from the sky,
And cast the to the ground below,
But there you were, take take my hands,
And guide me to let go.

When all my faith was stripped away,
Till anger and acid remained,
It was you who sheltered me,
From storm, and wind and rain.

Your warmth was all that grounded me,
When life turned most severe,
When I was ready to give it up,
I'd feel your love was near.

I still know not just what I did,
That made me deserve your aid,
But in my heart, I know this now,
With you, I'm unafraid.

With you, I could conquer anything,
Even an army of my foes,
And for you I'd fight destiny,
Or Gods I would oppose.

You have become my everything,
You laid my fears to rest,
You, who is my Guardian Angel,
And with you I am blessed.
