My Father Is A Good Man Poem by U Win Kyi

My Father Is A Good Man

My father is a good man,
Who never wears a brand.
His life style is so simple,
With bad guys he never mingles,
Let alone going to gamble.
Going to work and coming home always on time,
With bad friends he would never wine and dine.
Eating what Mum cooks without any fuss,
For special occasion pizza is a bonus.
On Sunday, he always goes to church,
Wearing his Sunday best,
For praying us not to get messed.
On holidays he fixes the broken things,
Never grumpy about for not going fishing,
Which is his favourite pastime,
He just says, 'OK, never mind.'
He not only reads the newspaper but also has the good article clipped.
In money he is poor, but in knowledge he is super-rich.
Nobody except Mum has his money shared.
Because he would never have an affair.
To infidelity he would never bow,
Because he always keeps the marital vow.
