My Favourite Critic Poem by Not Long Left

My Favourite Critic

Rating: 5.0

after a long day of work,
and a steady flow of note taking,
i finally reach the warm welcoming home.
i go to kiss you and you offer me your cheek,
i have never known such love.

like a child with a good school report
I place my new poems upon
your lap
read them i say
let me know what you think.
within thirty special seconds,
you read four poems.
bemused you look up at me.
and say,
i have no idea what they are about,
they are just a list of words.
i have never known such inspired feeback.
i love you for your indiffernce.

Oh dear Vincent, it is so disheartening when family don't understand your reason or your rhyme. Happens to me all the time. 10 from understanding, Tai
