My Favourite Lie Poem by Silence Dogood

My Favourite Lie

I’m speechless every time you stare.
Hoping that someday you’ll care.
Hoping for the future, hoping its not to late.
Too get rid of all your hate.
You walk away leave me behind.
Praying that it will be the last time.
Fresh tears stain my eyes.
Washing away all your lies.
I keep singing that same old song.
Maybe this right will undo the wrong.
That made my smile into a frown.
That made my whole world turn around.
You took my heart ripped it in half.
You took my smiles all my laughs
And now I’m walking away.
Walking away from our yesterday.
One chance, two hearts, three words.
Make the choice take the turn.
Because I’m tongue tied to your heart beat.
Mesmerized by a voice so sweet.
And I’m tongue tied.
To my favourite lie.
