My Friend Poem by Joseph Anthony Montefusco

My Friend

J- you are my treasured friend
When either of our hearts are broken - one of us will mend
From our pains, to every boy and girlfriend
Me and you will be there - until the end

When I am down you come to up-lift
That’s when I realize you are a great gift
The only person that would help me so swift
And I you - even when u seem a little miffed

J- I will never leave your side
To me you are the greatest guide
When all the smoke and anger subside
And when everyone else has died
I will still be there to offer you a ride

No words can express what I really want to say
So I just expressed it in my best way
For as long as I’m here your skies will never be gray
But J- this I must say
Straight from the mouth of your best friend Jay

I love you My Friend
